Our client is a large Queensland government department who are looking for a Change Manager to join them on an initial 6 month contract + extensions on offer. This role is based in Brisbane CBD + flexible WFH on offer.
The Role: Lead change management activities in relation to the Project, a large scale digital transformation initiative. Provide change management support as needed to various project teams. Develop change management strategies and plans based on the enterprise framework and work with key internal delivery partners to ensure effectiveness of activities. Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns. Develop and manage the ongoing implementation and refinement of key outputs such as (but not limited to): stakeholder assessment/analysis, change impact analysis, readiness assessments, risk assessments, leadership coaching plans, resistance plans, change toolkits, transition plans, training and development plans, training material, communications plans, artefacts, and learning reference material. Requirements: Significant demonstrated experience and knowledge of applying change management principles and methodologies in a Queensland Government environment. Proven experience in driving large organisation-wide change efforts and cultural shifts. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing changes associated with developing and implementing new digital-enabled services, transition from legacy platforms, and achieving successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working by internal and external stakeholders. A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process. Understanding of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle, especially Prince 2 methodology. Understanding of Agile methodologies and applying change management.
