Patrol Officer

Job DescriptionBloodwood Tree Association are seeking applicants for a Patrol Officer position. The Community Connect (Night Patrol) aims to improve community safety and reduce community consequences of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) by assisting Indigenous people in public places who are AOD affected or otherwise 'at-risk' of harm. The Night Patrol provides an invaluable service to the South Hedland Community by assisting those who are intoxicated, hurt, in violent situations, out on the street and generally at-risk, taking them to a safer place.The Community Connect team are out on patrol from 1:00pm until 7:00pm from Monday to Saturday, assisting people at risk.RequirementsConfidence and capability of handling difficult situationsAssertive when it comes to enforcing procedure and bus rules such as bag searches, confiscation of alcohol, dismissing aggressive clients off the bus etc.Male preferredPhysically fit and able to assist with wheelchairs, groceries etc.CV CheckPhoto IDCommunication skillsKnowledge of community is desirableATSI identified
