We're seeking to expand our team of Patient Transport Officers to work primarily in our patient transport operations across Tasmania, based out of our Mornington and Latrobe stations.
About the role Medical Edge Australia is recruiting Patient Transport Officers holding a minimum of a Certificate III Non-Emergency Patient Transport or equivalent qualifications for routine patient transport operations in Tasmania on a casual basis. Successful candidates are expected to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
The Patient Transport Officer (PTO) routinely works with Registered Paramedics or other PTOs to provide low and medium acuity transport for a range of patients with various needs. The PTO must have a sound understanding of clinical guidelines, licensing requirements and Medical Edge Australia policies and procedures.

The role is remunerated generously with super included on top of the hourly rate. The role is on a casual basis however part-time/full-time positions will soon be available for those that demonstrate alignment with our values and contribute positively to our culture.

For consideration, applicants must have a certificate III in non-emergency patient transport or equivalent. Applicants holding the Certificate IV in Healthcare, Diploma of Nursing (EN), and Diploma of Paramedic Science are also encouraged to apply.
