Barwon Medical Imaging (BMI) provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services including X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine.
These are performed by a team of highly skilled radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, nurses and support staff who ensure that all patients have access to quality services.
Our Patient Service Assistants work at within our University Hospital Geelong imaging service.
About the roleWe have available permanent part-time hours (and options for casual hours) for Patient Service Assistant/s to join the Medical Imaging team, with rostered hours across a span of hours which may include weekdays/evenings and weekends.
Your role will involve working as part of the PSA team to ensure timely transport of ED and Hospital inpatients across University Hospital Geelong to and from medical imaging.
Our PSAs also work closely with our medical imaging technologists and nurses, assisting with patient transfers to and from medical imaging equipment as required.
Consideration may be given to unqualified applicants either currently studying Certificate III in Allied Health Assistants or an individual wishing to embark on a career as a PSA - willing to undertake further study whilst working.This may also be a great opportunity for those currently studying nursing or radiography students wishing to gain experience in the Health Care environment.If you are successful for this position as a part-time PSA with medical imaging you will also have the opportunity to make yourself available for additional hours supporting patient transport throughout University Hospital Geelong wards.If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have great people and team work skills and enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams - apply now.About the cultureBMI strives to achieve a culture of patient-centred care through respect, compassion, accountability, commitment and innovation.
