The Position Title: Patient Services Assistant
Department: Corporate Services
Classification: Health & Allied, Managers & Admin Workers EA
Status: Casual
Applications are sought from suitably qualified staff with previous experience supporting patients, clients and other clinical staff in a hospital/health setting to work in the Corporate Services department at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include: Cleaning Basic laundry work and the sorting and packing of linen General Orderly/Porterage/Courier tasks Respond to all calls in a timely manner Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required Follow task list and work schedule allocated to your area Be aware of and respect patient / visitor privacy Complete and maintain all relevant documentation as required and determined by the area of work Other duties as directed Participate in all training requirements as directed Our team requires someone who has: Ability to meet and work to deadlines and within set timelines as required Ability to operate in an environment of change Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Practice active listening and empathy Ability to adjust and effectively communicate with other team members to assess situations Understanding of the Victorian Cleaning Standards for Public Hospitals This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
