Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff.
We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Liaison & Admissions Officer to join our friendly hard-working team. Our administration team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to deal with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) from a range of disciplines and come into direct patient contact.
This role also involves the effective management of all patient admissions via our Emergency Department, requiring preparation of all relevant documentation and collection of patient payments.
In the role, you will be expected to:
Be on your feet between your work station and the ED triage area Speak face to face with patients regarding their health cover Coordinate administrative paperwork and payment for coverage levels for their care Juggle multiple admissions at any one time and show resilience when required Customer service is expected to be of high standard and this is reflected by positive patient experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
Previous administrative experience in a front-line customer-facing environment Exceptional customer service, responding to patients and stakeholders in a timely, efficient, friendly, and courteous manner Exceptional attention to detail Ability to prioritise work Well-developed oral and written communication Good standard of computer literacy Desirable - Experience in the medical field/medical terminology Hours of the role:
Each shift will work 7.6 hours and the available shifts start from:
6:00 8:00 14:00 16:00 22:00 Must be available for overnight shifts and weekends.
