Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a dedicated Pathology Specimen Collector to join our dynamic team.

Position: Pathology Specimen Collector
Location: Gold Coast, QLD
Employment Type: Part-Time (varied hours and locations)
Available Roles and Shifts: Hospital Environments: Ideal candidates will be available to work part-time on a scheduled roster, Monday to Sunday between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm.Community Collection Centres: Ideal candidates will be available to work part-time on a scheduled roster, Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm, with weekend roster participation as required.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.)
from patients in a safe and professional manner.Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions.Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the collection area.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.What We Are Looking ForWe greatly value candidates with customer service experience who will make patient care their number one priority.
Other desirable skills and attributes include:
Previous experience working in the health, aged care, or community sectors and/or a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection.The confidence to work independently, sometimes in solo collection centres.Efficient time management and problem-solving skills.A willingness to learn new things and enjoy variety within their role.A First Aid Certificate - Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology will assist successful applicants to obtain.Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment.
Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.
