About the Opportunities Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an opportunity for a part-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their Pathology Collection team in the Coffs Harbour Collection Team.

Hours are 07.00-17.00, with participation in the Saturday roster.

You will work a variety of shifts between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, so an individual with the flexibility to work between these hours is a must for the successful candidate.
Participation in a Saturday roster is a requirement for this position.

Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.

Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:
Treating our patients with care and compassion; Receiving urine and faeces samples; Recording patient information; Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a hospital setting.
About You If you love dealing with people and have a background in customer service, retail, front-end reception, or any customer-facing position, this is the role for you!

Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment.
Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.

The successful applicant must be meticulous, efficient, able to work alone or as part of a team and have a demonstrable history of attention to detail and customer service.

We are looking for someone who:
Is committed to patient care and provides excellent customer service Enjoys variety within their role Has a willingness to increase skill base as required Can work effectively by themselves as well as with other team members.
Has the confidence to work independently Displays efficient time management and problem-solving skills Applicants must possess a current First Aid Certificate and computer skills.
Experience in venipuncture is desirable.
A reliable vehicle and a current driver's licence are essential.
