About the Pathology department: Austin Health Pathology is a department of Austin Health and provides services to not only Austin Health and the co-located Mercy Hospital for Women, but also to numerous GPs and Specialists in the metropolitan and regional community.
Austin Health Pathology is currently expanding into the Hume, Loddon Mallee and Goulburn Valley areas of regional Victoria, with laboratories in Shepparton, Mildura, Echuca and Swan Hill, and a point-of-care network.
About the role: We have a part time, 12 month fixed term Pathology Courier position available, 20 hours per week.
This includes a routine four hour shift Monday to Friday.
Participation in the weekend and public holiday roster may also be required.
The position is based out of our Laboratory in Swan Hill.
The role of a Pathology Courier is to provide an efficient and timely internal and external transport courier service within the Austin Health Pathology network.
Duties include collection and delivery of pathology specimens, delivery of blood products, transport of small items of equipment, testing consumables and other items as required.
This position requires attention to client service delivery in a timely and efficient manner, necessitating good relationships with numerous client groups and an understanding of their pathology testing and logistic needs.
