Part Time – 48 hours Fixed term till 8/12/2025Hub of medical precinct in Parkville, MelbourneChallenging and rewarding work environmentFriendly and supportive team environmentAbout the Role This is a Part Time Fixed Term position at 48 hours per fortnight within the Laboratory Services – Pathology Collection team. You will be responsible for providing collection services for both inpatients and outpatients at both The Royal Women's and the Royal Children's Hospital. This service also provides a collection service for VCGS and other external medical practitioners.
Classification for this position will range from IN24- IN27 (base salary 62,540.40 - 71,141.20 per annum, plus superannuation).
What you'll achieve: Develop and maintain a high standard of Pathology collection service and customer service - respecting the wishes of child, parent, and caregiver.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and Hospital Policy and Procedures.Provide a safe and comfortable environment for staff, patients, and carers.Your skills and experience Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection.Previous 3 years' experience in Public or Private Pathology Collection desirable but not essential.If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.
About the Department Pathology Collection is an integral part of Laboratory Services – RCH Pathology. Pathology collection provides collection services for both inpatients and outpatients at The Royal Women's and the Royal Children's Hospital. It also provides a collection service for VCGS and other external medical practitioners.
