Your role as a Reliever Pathology Collector Are you looking to grow your career with one of the largest healthcare organisations in Australia?Would you like to build your Collections skills through working in different healthcare settings and performing a wide range of Pathology Collection services?Do you have a Cert III in Pathology Collection or an interest in healthcare?If the answer is yes, a role as a Reliever Pathology Collector at QML Pathology could be your next career step. As a Reliever Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will be collecting blood & coordinating specimen samples from patients, using your empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare.
You will be a core member of the team as you step into shifts to cover any scheduled or unplanned absences at different Collection Centres and in Hospital environments.
No day will be the same as you will be travelling to different ACCs and Hospitals within a specific geographical area.
Reporting to the Collection Lead, and joining a passionate team, you will play a pivotal role in positively impacting the health of Australians.
Your key responsibilities will include: Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attentionFilling available shifts across a geographical areaKeeping meticulous records for every patient and sampleDeliver documentation within strict turnaround timesPreparing and packaging specimens for transport and testingLiaising with customers, clinic staff and couriersAbout you Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy/ Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare backgroundAvailability to cover various shifts and travel to different ACCs and Hospital environmentsYou have excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathyYou are organised, with strong time management and attention to detailYou are able to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinicHold a valid Driver's licenseHold a working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain oneYou must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to workIf you don't have qualifications or experience in Pathology Collection, but have an interest in healthcare, are passionate about helping others and have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, we will set you up for success by providing you with full training and mentoring.
