Pastry Cook

Job description
We are a bakery based in Kalamunda WA, looking for a creative, passionate and reliable pastry cook to join our team. Certificate III or higher relevant qualification is required and at least two years of relevant experience.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:

Select and prepare raw materials, categorizing them based on intended use.
Weigh and mix ingredients to create dough.
Operate essential baking equipment to ferment, knead, mature, cut, shape, blend, and roll ingredients, producing bread, cakes, and pastries.
Monitor and control mixing times, loading tins and trays into proofers and ovens.
Oversee baking times and assess the appearance of products.
Coordinate the forming, loading, and baking of batches of bread and rolls.
Unload ovens and de-pan, then cool bread and rolls.
Assist in training and supervising trainee bakers or pastry cooks.
Maintain high hygiene standards in daily equipment usage.
Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations set by the Health Department of WA.

Salary Range: $74,000 - $80,000
