Bakers & Pastry Chefs (Trades & Services) QT Melbourne is seeking a casual Pastry Chef dedicated to elevating our patisserie program which includes our restaurant Pascale Bar & Grill, as well as our Conferencing & Events business.

This is an opportunity to display a variety of techniques and styles, ranging from restaurant desserts through QT's unique and quirky amenity program.
Experience in delivering 5-star or high-end boutique patisseries a must! Responsibilities Working alongside the Executive Chef and Senior Pastry Chef to elevate the QT Melbourne patisserie program, including the restaurant, C&E and amenity program.
Ensure that QT Melbourne produces a high-quality food product at all times.
Have full knowledge of and practice the hotel's established occupational health and safety guidelines (OH&S).
Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every pastry item across our menus.
Monitor food quality and quantity as it relates to portion control.
Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure proper storage techniques and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Requisition the appropriate amount of food product in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
Support with any other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
Skills & Experience A quirky attitude with the desire to push innovation and creativity, developing seasonal and rotating menus.
A passion for luxury lifestyle hospitality and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a hatted or high-end boutique patisserie environment.
Ambitious and ready to take on projects to expand the scope of offerings within QT Melbourne.
Excited to work collaboratively and creatively with the QT Melbourne team including the Executive Chef and Head Pastry Chef.
