Job Description HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people living in their homes in Nowra and surrounding areas on the South Coast. As a pastoral care volunteer, you'll be actively involved with a local Christian church in the area.
You'll supplement and complement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction, you may:
Support people to meet their spiritual needs. You'll find that as a pastoral care volunteer, you'll nurture your own spiritual life.
Spiritual Care Series Online 8 weeks - Zoom Starts Thursday 24th October, concludes 12th December Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
One hour each week for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time of the week between Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.
