Casual position availableAn outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Pastoral Care Associate to join our Pastoral care team.
About the role Collaborating with the Pastoral Care Coordinator (PCC), this role will see you develop, implement, evaluate and continuously improve Southern Cross Care's Pastoral Care strategy, in both the residential and community setting.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assisting with the coordination of Pastoral Care services across the organisation whilst supporting residents, families and staff in a manner which reflects the dignity, spirituality and emotional well-being of each individual.Supporting the recruitment, training and supervision of a team of volunteer pastoral care workers and special ministers, and evaluating their services you will endeavour to promote excellence and best practice in Pastoral Care service delivery.For further details regarding the scope of the role, please refer to our website or the attached position description.
About you We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Completion of Pastoral Care training.Proven experience in a similar role and have a good knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role.A passion for working with older people, well organised, have sound interpersonal skills and have the ability to listen and adapt communication to the audience.Ability to build strong internal relationships and excel at creating safe, harmonious environments that bring out the best in everyone.Enquiries: Applications close: 12pm on the 3rd January 2025
