Common Ground Church of Christ is a small community of 30-40 believers located in Townsville, North Queensland. Our congregation is mostly in their 40-70 age range, and we are affiliated with Churches of Christ, Queensland.
We are a caring, warm, and welcoming congregation. Our vision for the future is outreach and evangelism; we anticipate that we will be making a fresh start in new premises in the near future.
Townsville is a medium-sized city that has everything without the stress of big city living, offering the possibility to connect with other local churches and pastors, surrounded by beautiful nature and friendly laid-back people.
What the church can offer:
Salary remuneration negotiated based on Churches of Christ Ministerial Salary recommendations. 2–3-day position with the possibility to increase as the congregation grows. We can help find suitable accommodation. Mature and supportive Eldership and a loving faithful congregation. Work in a wonderful ministry field in North Queensland. Who we are looking for:
As a new Pastor, you will work closely with the Elders and a diverse congregation to establish and develop a vision for Ministry, Mission, and outreach in this new location.
Display the fruits of the Spirit as described in the New Testament. Show passion for building a Christ-centred community. A genuine love for all people. Lead by example and communicate effectively with people of all ages. Disciple people and support them to live spirit-filled lives in their daily walk with Jesus. Build, support, and lead teams, and delegate effectively in a loving way. To apply, you must have the right to live and work in Australia without restrictions, speak English fluently, hold a current Australian driver's licence, a Blue card, and the ability to obtain a national police record check.
