The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs.
ResponsibilitiesPosition will incorporate cross school participation. 0.6 time fraction at Craigieburn Secondary College and 0.2 time fraction at Roxburgh Park College.

Key Responsibilities1. Program Development and Implementation:Develop and implement the Mana Pasifika program to enhance cultural awareness and connection within the schools.2. Engagement with CALD/At-risk Cohorts:Engage with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and at-risk cohorts, including Pasifika, African, and Arabic background families.3. Home and School Connection:Liaise with families to improve the connection between home and school.4. Event Coordination:Co-facilitate Multicultural and Harmony Day events.5. Community Involvement and Advocacy:Participate in International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia.Advocate for students and families within the school setting.6. Social Service Support:Maintain records and confidentiality to support families with social service needs.Integrate opportunities for cultural practices in mainstream classrooms.7. Family Engagement Strategies:Develop and implement strategies to engage families in their children's education.8. Community Partnerships:Create a gateway between school and the local community.Cultivate partnerships with local organizations and businesses.9. Leadership and Coordination:Coordinate the operations of the Pasifika Community Engagement.10. Data Management and Reporting:Lead the collection, analysis, reporting, and action planning of Pasifika community engagement data.Other Duties Other duties as reasonably required by the Principal, or their delegate.
