Parts & Service Manager - Townsville

The Opportunity Hitachi is seeking a motivated, structured and influential leader for an exciting opportunity to join the team in the position of Parts and Service Manager - Townsville. In this role, you willplan, lead & manage all aspects of the parts and service operations across an expansive territory in North Queensland to provide high-level customer service, whilst working closely with your teams to achieve department safety, quality, production and financial KPI targets.
Reporting to the Townsville Branch Manager, your responsibilities will include: Maintain compliance with WHS, Environmental and QA policies.Promote an inclusive and collaborative safety culture aligned to HCA safety beliefs and behaviours, with a strong focus on achieving an interdependent safety culture.Manage department profit and loss including achieving revenue, expense and gross profit targets.Monitor department utilisation and efficiency performance and manage processes and controls to achieve production targets.Oversee accuracy and timeliness of customer quote submission, follow up and invoicing.Staff recruitment, career development and performance evaluation.Customer relationship management.To be successful in the role, you will also have: Demonstrated safety focus with a strong understanding of WHS principles.The ability to engage with and positively enable a team of dedicated and talented staff to achieve business objectives.A developed understanding of and experience managing operational after sales parts & service support functions.Well-developed negotiation and dispute resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues.Developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple work fronts.Ability to understand technical information and interpret technical data.In-depth understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling methodology.Advanced Written and Verbal Communication SkillsIntermediate computer skills (MS Office suite).Here at Hitachi, we believe that success comes from the partnership of our market-leading products and the quality of our people.
