The RoleThe Parts Coordinator will be responsible for harnessing the full potential of the MGM Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution and inventory management capabilities to optimise the purchasing process for critical parts, effectively manage warranties, and minimise business costs.
The successful applicant will:Use the MGM ERP system to replenish stock and purchase ad-hoc parts.Set and maintain stock levels in all stores and undertake stock improvement processes to reduce delays in handling repairs and maintenance.Collaborate with freight and parts suppliers to minimise in-store inventory costs and maximise the availability of rapidly moving and slow-moving stock items.Liaise with the Strategic Sourcing Specialist and other key stakeholders to ensure the lowest practical cost of purchasing all parts through agreements and arrangements across the industry.Ensure out-of-hours rush parts procurement is minimised across the business.Educate Storepersons and stakeholders on how to manage stock parts.Assist when required with periodical stock takes.Conduct both purchase order generation and approvals, as required.Apply lean management and continuous improvement techniques to improve workshop schedules and maintenance.Provide reports and assist in preparing visual dashboards informing all business stakeholders on maintenance and procurement performance.Conform to all MGM's processes and procedures, particularly those impacting maintenance and workshop processes.What skills are needed for the role?Extensive (5 years plus) parts sourcing and procurement experience utilising inventory management systems to maintain near-optimal stock levelsUnderstanding of truck and loader partsUnderstanding of how to create Work OrdersUnderstanding the commercial procurement lifecycleExcellent communication with suppliers, workshop and operational personnelUse of advanced reporting products such as Power BI is an advantageWhy choose MGMPERMANENT full-time role offering stable employmentGrowing privately owned business with room for professional growth and developmentGreat lifestyle discounts and benefitsOngoing training and development opportunities availableWork in a supportive and friendly team environmentSubmit a resume showing previous experience in a similar roleInclude a cover letter outlining why you believe you will be a great fit for MGMProvide solid employment references (from supervisors or managers)Supply a national police clearance (no more than 6 months old)As part of our employment process, all employees will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol screening.As an inclusive employer, MGM is committed to improving workplace diversity, inclusion and equity.
