The RSPCA is an independent, community-based charity providing animal care and protection services across the country with the vision of preventing cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. Head office operations are based on their state-of-the-art integrated animal care campus at Glenthorne Park.
About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising, Communication & Marketing (FCM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of our high-value donor portfolio, including major donors, bequestors, corporate partnerships, and trusts and foundations.
You will lead the engagement, cultivation, and solicitation of high-value donors, with a key focus on securing major gifts and bequests to support the work of RSPCA South Australia. As part of the leadership team, you will help shape the broader fundraising strategy and oversee the implementation of plans to grow our major giving program.
Key Responsibilities Major Donor Management: Develop and manage a portfolio of major donors, ensuring a continual pipeline of prospects and opportunities. Create and implement stewardship plans to maintain and grow donor relationships.
Gifts in Wills Program: Develop and oversee strategies to increase enquiries and confirmed gifts in Wills, ensuring effective stewardship for all confirmed benefactors.
Corporate Partnerships: Manage key corporate partnerships, ensuring obligations are met and relationships are cultivated for long-term support. Represent RSPCA SA at a national level within the corporate partnerships group.
Grant Management: Identify and pursue opportunities for grants and distributions from trusts or foundations, ensuring proper acquittals and updates.
Community Fundraising: Lead the management of the community fundraising portfolio, including peer-to-peer campaigns and events such as Cup Cake Day and Million Paws Walk.
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the Partnerships & Philanthropy Coordinator, ensuring high performance and professional development within the team.
Strategic Planning and Reporting: Contribute to the development of annual plans, budgets, and forecasts for fundraising campaigns, providing regular updates on progress and performance.
Skills and Experience Proven track record in managing high-level donor relationships, including major donors, corporate partners, and trusts and foundations.Experience in developing strategies and plans for philanthropic giving, including successful income generation campaigns.Ability to lead and motivate a small team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, from individual donors to corporate partners.Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.Culture and Benefits At RSPCA South Australia, we are committed to creating a positive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture.
