Dedicated leader who has genuine passion for peopleDemonstrates excellent organisation skills and planning of eventsFull time, Fixed-Term role (June 2025) based in HobartAbout the opportunity The Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the University of Tasmania's brand presence through the strategic planning and execution of a diverse range of events, including Open Days, School Leaver Expos, and Graduations. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences for our students and community. This position oversees a small team of events officers and requires strong leadership capabilities around cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment.
What you'll do: Plan and execute a variety of events, ensuring they align with the university's brand and strategic objectives.Develop and implement a merchandise strategy that aligns with the university's branding and marketing goals.Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty members, staff, students, alumni, community partners and vendors.Oversee a team of Events and Merchandise Officers, providing task delegation, support, and mentorship.Monitor event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness in all aspects of event planning.What we're looking for: Demonstrated ability to led and inspire a team of Events Officers.Proven track record of fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Prior experience in successfully managing a variety of events from planning to execution.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $123,548 comprising base salary within the range of $96,071 to $105,597 plus 17% superannuation.
