Reporting to the Senior Partner – Business Risk & Compliance you will be responsible for helping RAC Insurance foster a mature risk culture that supports the achievement of business objectives whilst minimising compliance risk.
The Partner – Business Risk & Compliance is a key Line 1 Risk & Compliance role responsible for supporting and embedding the day to day risk practices in line with the RAC Insurance risk management framework.
This role leads a team in partnering with the business to support risk and obligation owners in managing risk in line with the Board's risk appetite.
Leveraging your technical expertise, you will support RAC Insurance's Corporate and Finance functions, as well as providers to these areas including IT and HR.
What's the role?
Leading a team to support the day-to-day implementation and fostering the embedment of the RAC Insurance Risk & Compliance Management Frameworks and associated requirements.
Ownership of Line 1 Business Risk & Compliance related policies, procedures, and tools.
Contributing to delivery of an annual Line 1 Business Risk & Compliance business plan.
Leading, coaching and developing a team of Risk & Compliance team members to support individual development plans and provide ongoing feedback.
Supporting risk owners in monitoring, assessing and managing their risks against appetite and tolerances.
Supporting risk and issue owners in reviewing the impacts of changes on risk profile.
Building rapport and developing professional relationships with key stakeholders at all levels both internal and external to RACI.
Owning and managing vendor contracts relating to relevant team systems, and ensuring systems are fit for purpose.
Executing a key function of the controls assurance framework, through working with business unit leaders and risk owners on control design and effectiveness.
Coordinating regular Executive Risk and Committee forums and preparing related reporting.
What we're looking for?
Significant experience leading risk and/or compliance teams in Financial Services; big four consulting firm; or other regulated industries Experience in information security, cyber, and IT risk; supply chain risk also desirable Knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards and Guidelines, Insurance Contracts Act and Corporations Act is preferred Proven ability to simplify compliance requirements into practical everyday language Ability to think and advise strategically on implementation or uplift or risk and compliance activities Ability to apply judgement and critical thinking in decision making Exceptional analytics skills and problem-solving skills with an ability to see complexities of procedures and regulations and present practical solutions Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate clearly in verbal and written form with various stakeholders Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management or similar is preferred What can we offer you?
