As the Partner – Regulatory Initiatives, you will be instrumental in helping RAC Insurance maintain a robust risk culture.
Your expertise will guide the business in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring compliance, and driving necessary changes.
You'll be a trusted advisor, offering critical insights into regulatory initiatives, compliance obligations, and fostering strong governance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess regulatory changes, ensuring RAC Insurance adapts swiftly to maintain compliance.
Engage with stakeholders, build awareness, and drive the implementation of regulatory changes.
Maintain and communicate a detailed plan for upcoming regulatory changes to stakeholders.
Provide advice in risk workshops, aiding in the understanding and documenting of compliance impacts.
Support business leaders in identifying and implementing controls to meet regulatory requirements.
Seek legal advice when necessary to ensure compliance accuracy and update registers accordingly.
Stay informed about national and international regulatory trends impacting the insurance sector.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Senior Risk and Compliance Advisors to foster growth and performance.
Provide oversight and reporting on Risk and Compliance performance from senior management to board level.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Attend regulatory seminars and stay current on regulatory communications and trends.
Qualifications and Experience: Significant experience leading risk and/or compliance teams in financial services or regulated industries, with a preference for insurance exposure.
Strong strategic thinking, critical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent ability to simplify complex compliance requirements for practical application.
Proven experience in writing reports for Senior Management and Boards.
Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate, and manage diverse workloads effectively.
In-depth knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards, Insurance Contracts Act, Corporations Act, and ASIC Regulatory Guidelines.
Membership in relevant professional bodies (desirable).
Tertiary qualifications in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field (desirable).
