Join the dynamic team with our client as an APS3 equivalent Participant Support Officer.
APS3 equivalent $37+ p/h Located in Brisbane, Queensland About the Team Join the Complex Support Needs Branch, where we provide specialized support for people with disabilities facing additional complexities.
Our dedicated teams focus on areas such as complex support needs, short-term responses, support for children and young people, and justice planning, ensuring that individuals receive the assistance they require to thrive.
About the Role As an APS3 Participant Support Officer, you will play a vital role within our team, managing participant matters and providing essential administrative support.
This position involves prioritising tasks, managing workflow, and engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your contributions will help facilitate effective communication and support for participants navigating complex systems.
Manage and resolve participant matters by actioning planning tasks in accordance with relevant legislation.
Provide counter/reception support for the local office, including assisting participants with inquiries at self-help kiosks and online support.
Resolve customer inquiries and provide straightforward advice, referring them to appropriate government or community services as needed.
Oversee the team shared email inbox, appointments, and telephone inquiries.
Coordinate appointments and ensure accessibility of office facilities for participants.
Conduct research and investigation activities, preparing reports and correspondence.
Perform data entry tasks and ensure timely follow-up on activities.
Receive and record complaints and feedback in business systems.
About you To thrive in this role, you need: Relevant certifications in Community Services or Administration.
Proven background in administrative support or customer service roles.
Strong verbal and written skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
Excellent at managing multiple priorities and maintaining accurate records.
Proactive in identifying and resolving participant matters.
Works well in team environments, supporting colleagues to achieve goals.
Eager to learn and grow within the disability support sector.
Sensitive to the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
Must be an Australian Citizen.
