The Participant and Program Support Officer is a key administrative and support role within the Geelong Regional Centre of The Academy. This position will focus on providing exceptional participant support, event organisation, and customer service for professional learning programs, with a specific emphasis on school leadership and teaching excellence. No educational background is required.
Key Responsibilities:Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Geelong Regional Centre team.Handle participant registration, program resource preparation, and other administrative tasks related to the organisation of professional learning events.Event Organisation and On-Site Support:
Coordinate and support on-site and virtual professional learning sessions, ensuring effective room setup, technology management, and smooth execution.Liaise with participants before, during, and after events, ensuring high-quality customer service throughout.Facility and Technology Management:
Manage the engagement of local facilities service providers, ensuring efficient, safe, and effective use of the Geelong Regional Centre's space.Collaborate with other Academy Divisions to ensure optimal use of learning spaces and technological resources.Participant Engagement and Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, responding to queries, resolving issues, and providing essential information from program inception to completion.Work closely with the local team to provide support that is responsive to the needs of Geelong's rural and regional school communities.Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other teams across The Academy, including the Regional Division, to ensure smooth delivery of professional learning programs.Support in the planning, organising, and execution of statewide and local professional learning events. Key Requirements:Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality customer service and participant engagement.Organisational Skills: Proven ability to organise and manage professional learning events, both in-person and virtual.Technological Aptitude: Familiarity with managing technology in an event setting (e.g., AV equipment, virtual meeting platforms).Initiative: Ability to proactively solve problems and manage multiple tasks independently.Facilities Management Experience: Experience working with or managing service providers for facilities management is an advantage.
