Part-time Veterinary Nurse and Receptionist – Twin Towns VetTwin Towns Vet is a small animal clinic located in the heart of Coolangatta, QLD – just a 5-minute walk from the beach! We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Part-time Veterinary Nurse to join our team.We are a 3 vet practice, with a close-knit nursing team who are genuinely great friends, as well as colleagues.About the RoleThe position will be up to 20 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays required.As a Part-time Vet Nurse at Twin Towns Vet, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and proceduresProviding surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoringDelivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clientsAdministering medications and preparing treatments as requiredManaging the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patientsCommunicating treatment plans and updates to clientsPerforming blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placementAssisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-raysContributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient careAbout YouCertificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experienceA commitment to excellence in clinical care and client serviceProblem solver and opportunity finderPeople personHungry to learnA compassionate, approachable, and team-oriented attitude toward animal careEzyVet experience is a plus, but not essentialTwin Towns Vet is proud to offer continuing education through our Veterinary Training Centre, as well as staff discounts and employee benefits – including our wellbeing and health programs.At VetPartners, we are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity in our workforce.
