Ever thought about moving to Australia for a new opportunity?
Are you looking for a different outlook on work and life, one that will give you the balance you crave?
How about this one?
You are a good vet, trying to be the best you can be, and giving back to the industry you love.
But now you are looking for a change, maybe you are stuck in a rut, spending less time with patients, production line consults, and endless targets, let's face it, you didn't sign up for this.
We know being a vet is sometimes tough, working long hours, with few breaks, but what if we knew of a modern independent practice with 20 min consults as standard, no silly targets, where you can work with like-minded individuals, build lasting relationships with your clients, and give the best possible care you can?
Would you be interested to learn more?
This modern, independent practice is very versatile, flexible, and in a fantastic rural location with all the modern facilities.
The practice has access to 3 major emergency referral centres, and access to specialist advice in emergency, surgery, and medicine.
Striving to provide the best possible veterinary care and taking pride in every aspect of their work, this clearly shows in their loyal and ever-growing client base, the highlighted need for an additional vet to join their successful team.
Ideally, you will have 3+ years of experience but there is some flexibility here.
A kind empathetic vet who is great with the client is just as important as experience.
Working Thursday and Friday, this role is part-time, offering up to 28 hours per week.
Temporary accommodation is included.
This practice has a real team-focused environment.
Their team is not only fun but they are like family, not to mention super supportive, where everyone pulls together when there's work, and relaxes when it's time.
You will be joining a team of professionals that wants the best for patients and practice.
Sharing advice, discussing caseloads, a team that genuinely cares, supports, and is interested in each other.
They offer a 3-day week (provisionally Mondays off each week for a long weekend, if preferred) a protected 1-hour lunch with allocated breaks, 1 in 4 Saturdays, and no OOHs or on-call.
Part-time applications would be considered also.
They are looking to have somebody in place by March 2025.
So, what's in it for you?
£40k- £60k DOE and annual leave accumulation on hours worked.
Free parking onsite, annual salary reviews.
They believe in developing their vets so a comprehensive CPD package should take care of that.
Location-wise, Winchelsea is a rapidly growing town with more and more people moving to the area.
With pubs, cafes, a hospital, a supermarket, a school, sports facilities butchers plus lots more, what's not to like?
It is in the middle of major towns Geelong and Colac (only 30min from both) and only 50min from the outskirts of Melbourne.
So, what's next?
Send your CV, don't worry if it's not up to date.
We can't get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions.
I'll answer honestly, no hard sell.
Enjoy a new vet adventure on the other side of the world.
