You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services, focusing on suicide and self-harm risk assessment and crisis intervention.
This full-time, permanent role requires a commitment to maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and prisoners.As a Senior Psychologist / Social Worker in the Psychological Health Services team, you'll make a positive impact by:Providing clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team.Assisting in the development and delivery of strategic plans and operational objectives.Monitoring and reporting on team performance against key performance indicators.Delivering psychological consultation and support to staff across the site.Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Contributing to policy development and implementation.Serco is a place for youYou are a compassionate and experienced psychologist with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality mental health care.

Your communication skills allow you to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and you are dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, inclusivity, and respect.To be successful in this role you'll have:General registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Extensive experience in clinical intervention services for adults, particularly in a custodial or forensic environment.Advanced knowledge in the assessment and management of suicide and self-harm risk.Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on strategic planning and team development.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Understanding of the issues identified by the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
