Join Our Team: Regular Part-time Receptionist at Bridgeside Medical Centre (2-4 days per week)
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our vibrant team as a Part-time Receptionist at Bridgeside Medical Centre.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while ensuring the seamless operation of our daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Warm Reception: Greet patients, visitors, and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, setting the tone for an exceptional patient experience.
Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring a positive and supportive experience. Efficient Communication: Manage a multi-line phone system with expertise, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and prioritizing calls with care. Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff to coordinate patient appointments, tests, and follow-ups, optimizing clinic efficiency. Billing and Payments: Process patient payments, issue receipts, and assist with billing inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Organized Environment: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies, creating a welcoming environment for all. Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Criteria: Proven experience as a medical receptionist in a GP centre. Good understanding of Medicare billing systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on empathy and understanding. Good organizational abilities and keen attention to detail. Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Desirable Criteria: Experience with Medical Director software is highly advantageous. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism. Familiarity with medical terminology. Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. Friendly, well-groomed, and possessing a professional manner and etiquette. Working Hours and Days: This is a regular part-time position (2-4 days a week) with working hours from 7:45 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays (attendance required every third Saturday).
The successful candidate should be flexible and adaptable to varying schedules within the weekday and weekend timeframes.

Work Location: In person at Bridgeside Medical Centre, 9/200, Cumberland Street, The Rocks, NSW.
