We pride ourselves on being a Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation and supporting our local community through the provision of high-quality, professional services.Positive Solutions offers a range of services including:Family Dispute Resolution for both Parenting and PropertyCounselling for individuals and couplesChild Inclusive PracticeGP Referred Mental Health Care PlansEmployee Assistance ServicesWorkplace Mediation and Facilitated ConversationsTrainingProfessional SupervisionAbout the roleTo meet with our increasing demand, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our counselling team to work across both our private counselling and EAP programs in Launceston and across the North of Tasmania.The EAP program includes short-term therapeutic counselling and onsite support, on-call support, and critical incident response for our customer organisations. Our private counselling program is for longer-term supports. Both programs are delivered by a combination of face-to-face, outreach, and telehealth.We require an individual who can see a range of clients including adults and children from five years of age.This role is permanent part-time, 4 days per week. It will be well suited for those needing flexibility as part of their broader professional activities or in managing their work/life balance.Who we are looking forWe are seeking a flexible and professional clinician who is committed to maintaining professional practice and providing culturally sensitive services that aim to make a difference to your client's wellbeing. You are motivated by establishing respectful, meaningful, inclusive, and collaborative relationships with your clients and our team.To be successful in this role you will:Hold relevant counselling, social work, psychology, or social science qualifications.Hold current membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., AASW, APS, PACFA, ACA, AHPRA).Have experience in counselling working with individuals, including children, in both short-term and long-term interventions.Demonstrate a high level of resilience to work in an environment exposed to high-risk calls that may include clients presenting with suicide, domestic/family violence, anxiety, and depression.Exhibit the ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively monitor and coordinate a workload consisting of multiple tasks of varying priorities.Possess an enthusiastic and positive nature that can work collaboratively in a team environment as well as autonomously.Hold a National Police Clearance valid within one year.Hold a valid Working with Vulnerable Persons Check.Hold a current Driver's Licence.Have experience in critical incident support.Have experience in providing training and public presentations.Have experience in relationship counselling.BenefitsA friendly, supportive work environment, where work-life balance is prioritised.Access to in-house supervision.Salary sacrifice benefits up to $15,900 for living expenses and an additional $2,650 for meals and entertainment.Access to additional paid time off annually.Remuneration will be under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award with salary commensurate to experience and hours worked.To ApplyAll applications must be lodged via Seek, including a current Resume and a one-page covering letter explaining why you want to work with Positive Solutions and what skills you can bring.Applications close Wednesday 13th November 2024 at 5pm.Applications are reviewed upon receipt, and Positive Solutions reserves the right to close recruitment for this position as needed.For more informationFor more information regarding the position, please contact the Operations Manager at ******.
