About the Role: Tradewind are recruiting for a fully qualified Kindergarten Teacher to teach in a lovely Early Learning centre in Richmond on a permanent, part time basis.
The permanent Part Time Teacher will work with a group of 22 three-year-olds on Mondays & Tuesdays with Wednesdays reserved as a non-contact day.
The successful applicant will become an integral member of the Kindergarten team, providing the highest standard of education and care to the youngest citizens in their diverse community.
We're looking for a Teacher who is passionate about teaching in the early years, exploring Indigenous perspectives and trauma informed practice, potentially with some Bush Kinder experience.
Key duties: Base teaching on best theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge of each student's development, skills and interest.
Identify and cater for individual learner needs Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students.
Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children.
Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum.
Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content Stay informed regarding current trends, teaching practices and curriculum and resource developments by remaining in contact with relevant associations and other professional networks.
Required Qualifications & Attributes: Bachelor of Education (Early Years) (or ACEQUA equivalent) Up to date First Aid, CPR, EpiPen and asthma management qualifications Valid Early Childhood Teacher VIT Registration and ability to renew Current mandatory reporting training Current Right to work in Australia Skills & Experience: At least 3 years' experience working as a degree qualified teacher in a funded Kindergarten Program An understanding of the importance of Indigenous perspectives education Bush Kinder (or other nature pedagogy) experience Experience with Xplor or other online learning platform Ability to demonstrate a competent level of English, both written and spoken.
