Due to their growing product offering and a strong demand, they are seeking a detail-oriented part-time Fund Accountant to join the Operations team.As a Fund Accountant, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Fund Accounting and Taxation to review and analyse accounting and financial reporting for assigned investment vehicles.
You will ensure accurate fund valuations, compliance, and provide valuable insights for fund performance analysis.
This position demands a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and investment products.Key Responsibilities: Fund Accounting and Pricing: Review daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Values (NAVs) for investment vehiclesFinancial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, regulatory reports, and investor reports in accordance with accounting standardsReconciliations: Conduct daily cash, position, and transaction reconciliations, promptly identifying and resolving discrepanciesInvestment Performance Analysis: Analyse fund performance of Administrator versus Investment ManagerAudit Support: Coordinate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and supportProcess Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes, automate tasks, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of reportingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification is highly desirableMinimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within asset management, financial services, or custodial environmentsStrong understanding of Australian and international financial regulations and reporting standards (IFRS, AASB)Exceptional attention to detail and accuracyIntermediate/advanced Excel skillsBenefits for You:Competitive salary packagePart-time - option for 3 or 4 daysFlexible working arrangements and a supportive team environmentCBD office with hybrid work modelClick APPLY or contact Francesca Mackenzie on or to find out more information.#J-18808-Ljbffr
