Are you an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Administrator looking to make a meaningful contribution to a dynamic team? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Parent & Citizens Association (P&C) to support our financial and administrative functions.
Position: Part-Time Bookkeeper/Office Administrator
Hours: 3 days/week with flexibility, must be available Mondays.
As a key member of our team, the Bookkeeper/Office Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the P&C's financial and administrative tasks, in alignment with the P&C Accounting Manual. Reporting to the P&C Operations Manager, you will maintain accurate financial records, support the financial health of the P&C, and provide essential administrative support. This role is perfect for someone with exceptional attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.Set up new suppliers in Xero for accurate batch payment uploads.Prepare business unit coding for reporting at members' meetings.Reconcile bank and Month-End supplier statements.Manage payroll processes, including onboarding new employees, leave requests, and payroll queries.Handle banking deposits from Tuckshop takings and fundraising events.Process monthly Superannuation batch payments for P&C Treasurer approval.Office Administration: Maintain key P&C registers, including Correspondence, Motions, and Policies.Assist with organising P&C General Meetings and other adhoc meetings.Support the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop with stock counts.Manage office filing systems (both physical and digital) and provide general admin support.Assist with special projects and fundraising events as needed.Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, office administrator, or similar role.Proficiency in accounting software (with experience of Zero highly desirable) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.Knowledge of payroll systems and people-related administrative tasks.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Why Join Us?
