Join our dynamic team at My Build Collective, a Launceston based building and design company dedicated to delivering exceptional projects and services. We pride ourselves on our collaborative work environment and are looking for an organised and proactive administration / project support officer to support our operations.
The role is part-time, approximately 16 - 24 hours per week and can be a flexible working arrangement. This is a hands-on and varied position covering all aspects of accounts administration including invoicing, accounts payable, general office and reception duties, marketing support and other non-accounting duties as needed.
Working in an energetic, small team environment, this role requires a flexible and adaptable individual who works well within a team, has strong customer service skills and works well independently.
Key Responsibilities: You will ideally have a sound understanding of office accounting/bookkeeping, be proficient in using MS Office and Outlook.
You will report to our managing director and administration manager and have experience in the following areas:
General reception and office administration dutiesAccounts Payable/ReceivableInvoicingBank/Credit Card ReconciliationsData entry across multiple platformsJob creation and lead managementFile management and organisationMarketing supportCreate meeting agendas and take minutesExperience with Xero or similar accounting programsA strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles The successful candidate will possess: Outstanding written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational skillsProficient with Microsoft Office and OutlookHigh level computer skills and the ability to learn new computer systems efficientlyThe ability to work to deadlinesGreat time managementStrong sense of initiative and work ethicAttention to detail and accuracyA sense of humour and a can-do attitude Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role or similar
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills and strong time management abilities
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
- Strong communication skills for effective reporting to management
