THE POSITION
The New Product Introduction (NPI) team requires an additional Analytical Chemistry Technician due to internal promotion within the company. As an Analytical Chemistry Technician, you will perform analysis of NPI development and stability batches to support the development of new products at Parnell. The role will also participate in the transfer, verification, or validation activities for methods.
This person will form part of the multi-department New Product Introduction and Innovations Team as an Analytical Chemistry Technician representative. Strong documentation development and management practice including quality by design practices is desired. This person will assist with raw material testing, vendor qualification practices, and laboratory consumable procurement to allow successful transfer to the production laboratory.
Having experience as a process Analytical Chemistry Technician will add value to the team to ensure each product follows the quality by design principles. A strong organic and synthetic chemistry background will suit this role and ensure success. The ability to understand the interaction of process parameters to deliver desired results under different environments (Lab Scale to Commercial Scale batches) would be helpful to perform this role seamlessly. Knowledge and experience in process development and experimental design is essential.
This role will support the NPI Project Manager in ensuring that all process-related tasks and reviews are completed in a timely manner to meet project milestones.

The role reporting into the NPI Project Manager involves:
Participate as Formulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cross-department projects for New Product Introduction (NPI), Innovations and Technical Transfers (TT), including those from Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMO) Liaise with internal stakeholders throughout the entire project Perform literature reviews to support new business projects Perform lab scale and scale-up formulations for new products Assist in the preparation of new product Process Flows, Critical Control Point Analysis, and Formulation development studies Prepare and report on development studies Prepare the development batch and process records to use in manufacturing Assist in the investigation of non-conformances in production for new products Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in Formulation development in a pharmaceutical or sterile manufacturing environment Experience in process design, project management, and technical transfer is favorable Understanding of life cycle validation development and quality by design principles (desired) Good communication skills both written and verbal, with a proactive attitude Exceptionally strong writing skills relevant to quality documents and reports Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team The ability to communicate effectively with personnel from all levels Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues while making timely and accurate decisions Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $73,150.00 – $93,150.00 per year
