If you love it here as much as we do, and you want to shape our region for the future – you'll want to join our team!The Parks and Gardens branch is responsible for the care, management, and operation of public open space, foreshore reserves, and recreational areas to enable active and passive recreation and the preservation of natural landscape and environmental features.Role Responsibilities:Carry out garden maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, mulching, pruning of trees and shrubs, mowing, irrigation, turf management, removal and disposal of green waste and litter.Assist and undertake landscape construction and horticultural maintenance, pest control, and other general labouring activities.About You:As a requirement of this role, you will possess a Certificate II in Horticulture or have relevant experience.
You will have a 30215 QLD – General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – Blue Card, and a current "C" class driver's license and LR license.Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength, and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending.
