The Perfect Opportunity
Asour Parking Officer, you'll be committed to supporting our residents andbusinesses by investigatingcomplaints, educating and regulating instances of illegal parking and abandoned articles. In addition, you will be responsible for the education andenforcement of illegal parking in and around School Zones in the Port StephensLGA.
You will have strong communication, disputeresolution and negotiation skills. Be competent preparing memos and reports aswell as preparing court briefs and giving evidence at court hearings as andwhen required.

This is a temporary full-time role (38 hours per week) working a Thursday to Monday roster which includes RDO's and weekends wherepenalty rates are payable.
About you
In order to succeed in thisrole, you'll:
Be professional and have a pleasant manner when dealing with the public. Have the ability to work independently withoutdirect supervision. Be able to remain calm in conflict situationsand manage enforcement issues with tact and discretion. Physically be able to walk for long periods ofa day whilst working in an outdoors environment. Have previous experience in a parkingenforcement or similar compliance type role. Quickly gain an understanding of our smartparking system and technology. Have demonstrated negotiation and conflictresolution skills. Why our employees love PSC?
