Why should I choose to be a Parking Information Officer at the City of Adelaide? Instead of hearing it from us, here's what our Parking Information Officers have to say: I always wanted a job working in the outdoors and that's exactly what I got. I love that my job is active, outdoors, and that I can call the streets of Adelaide, the parklands, the squares, the city centre "my office". Many may know that we as Parking Information Officers (PIOs) contribute to the safety of the community and accessibility to the city but what makes the role important for me is that major events and activities in the city cannot go ahead without clear streets and areas in many cases. A key part of my role is to ensure that vehicles don't pose a safety risk or prevent local and international events including sporting matches, The Fringe, motor sport, festivals and concerts amongst other things from going ahead. Having worked here for the past 10 years, I hope I can work here for 10 more. I have been in my role for more than 8yrs and still find that On-street parking is one of those careers where the streets of the city is your office and each day you are on a different area so it never feels like ground hog day. One of the highlights of my day is that lunch can be back at the office, at a park or at many food vendors. #J-18808-Ljbffr
