We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Compliance Department to undertake the role of Parking Officer. In this role, you will be actively engaged in operational patrols ensuring the efficient and effective management of community safety issues in West Torrens. Your work will be crucial in maintaining the safety and accessibility of our community through effective parking management and enforcement.
What You'll DoYou will undertake a variety of duties that include:
Enforcing the provisions of the Road Traffic Act, Australian Road Rules and Private Parking Areas Act including identifying and rectifying any inappropriate use of roads and footpaths and enforcing breaches of parking restrictions. Patrolling the Council area to ensure compliance with parking regulations. Responding to parking complaints and monitoring ongoing issues. Providing accurate advice to the community and internal stakeholders.

Your keen eye for detail ensures accurate enforcement of parking regulations, and your problem-solving and decision-making skills will allow you to handle challenges with a solution-oriented approach.
You will have strong documentation, record keeping and report writing skills and ideally have experience working in a compliance and/or in a customer service environment.
Note: In accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within six months of issue) and a current Class C Driver's Licence will be required as part of the recruitment process.
Note: The CWT is a COVID-19 vaccinated workplace, so if successful in gaining employment with the CWT you will be required to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status indicating you have received your two primary doses (or three primary doses if immunocompromised) or alternatively your SA Health approved vaccination exemption.
