Job DescriptionThe role We have one of the world's leading litigation and dispute resolution (L&DR) practices specializing in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory investigations around the globe. Our team in Australia is one of the country's leading litigation and dispute resolution teams and has overseen many of the most complex corporate cases and arbitrations in the market in recent years.
Our team in Perth is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal on a full-time basis, though part-time requests may also be considered. The successful candidate will assist the team on a variety of complex construction disputes and international arbitrations.
Key Responsibilities Provide a range of legal and administrative support to Partners, lawyers, and other legal professionals across the L&DR team.Assist with the preparation of Court documents and attend to the filing of Court documents.Assist with the preparation of Briefs to Counsel and delivery of Briefs.Conduct legal research, including preparation of legal memoranda.Assist with document management and discovery processes.QualificationsYour experience The ideal candidate will have some legal exposure, including potentially working towards obtaining legal qualifications – preferably having completed at least 1 year of legal studies.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Strong legal research skills, including familiarity with Relativity and other legal databases.Experience with MS Office Suite and comfort with the use of IT systems in a professional environment.Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.Additional InformationEqual opportunities statement At Clifford Chance, we understand that our true asset is our people.
