The Advisory Legal team is responsible for providing expert legal support to APRA across all industries that APRA regulates. As Paralegal, Advisory Legal - your work will focus on providing support to APRA lawyers in relation to area's including:
Freedom of Information; Knowledge Management; I nstrument Registration; and  This is a newly established role in APRA Advisory Legal and is intended to provide support to experienced lawyers and enhance existing processes .
As a member of an established and agile legal team you will also be involved in providing timely and expert legal support to APRA . This will involve quickly building strong relationships both with members of APRA legal and within APRA more broadly .
Other key accountabilities will be:
Role-modelling APRA values (Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, Excellence and Accountability), self-awareness and innovation ; and. Delivering high quality, practical paralegal support to internal stakeholders. This should be informed by a 'one-APRA' mindset. Other key outcomes supported by this role are:  
A s sisting to maintain knowledge management databases where legal advices are stored; Responding to Freedom of Information requests received by APRA within the required timeframe ; Supporting the registration of legal instruments on the Federal Register of Legislation. This will entail strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines and strong stakeholder management skills (both within l egal and within APRA more broadly) ; and Quickly e stablishing rapport with stakeholders within APRA . About you
You will have experience in providing paralegal support to lawyers obtained either in private practice, in house or with a regulator . In particular, exper ience in relation to Freedom of Information (or equivalent regimes) or will be highly regarded.
To work with us, you need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance.
