Are you an experienced Paralegal who is looking for a new challenge? Dentons Australia has a fantastic opportunity in our Sydney, Recovery and Restructuring practice, on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the role In this role, you will act on behalf of several of Australia's major banks and non-bank lenders on secured and unsecured recovery matters. The work is of a fast-paced nature and will see you having the responsibility of managing a portfolio of files. You will also work alongside lawyers in the team with an emphasis on compliance and quality assurance.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Start to end file management; Preparing and issuing legal documents, including statutory notices and court documents; Acting as first point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communications via specialised online web-based portal; Outbound and inbound calls with defaulting customers, including liaising directly with customers in relation to sensitive financial matters with the aim to come to suitable arrangements; and Working with lawyers to progress matters through Courts. About you The successful candidate must:
Be well organised, with strong time-management and prioritisation skills Have the ability to work independently, whilst also in a friendly team environment under supportive partners, with on-the-job training to help you along the way Be self-motivated and driven, with a professional outlook Be able to work under pressure and deal with sensitive matters in a timely manner Have superior drafting skills and strong attention to detail Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with a professional phone manner.
