Details of the offer

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) requires casual contract staff to support its Perth enforcement and investigations team.The engagements are for an initial term of twelve (12) months, with the possibility of further extensions.This position requires an individual with (or aptitude to acquire) the following abilities:Ability to use document and evidence management databases, including Nuix Discover;Reviewing large volumes of evidence for relevance;Assisting with the preparation of witness statements, financial analysis, research and memos; andGeneral administrative duties.You will be working alongside experienced lawyers, investigators, forensic accountants and evidence analysts on complex criminal, civil and administrative matters.This role will suit someone with strong attention to detail, excellent drafting skills, problem-solving ability, digital literacy and confidence to engage with staff and external stakeholders from a broad range of backgrounds.Ideally, in 2025 you will be in your penultimate year of study in one of the following disciplines:Law;Criminology; orCommerce / Economics.To work with us, you will need to be an Australian citizen and be prepared to complete an ASIC Suitability and Baseline Assessment, which is issued by ASIC's Security team.Please include your CV, academic record and a short letter of application.Applications will close at 11:59pm on 31 January 2025.
