The Position:We are seeking applications from law students, property paralegals or conveyancers with an interest in property law to join our fast-paced commercial law firm.
The successful candidate will be working closely with an accredited specialist director and will have plenty of opportunity for advancement in a friendly and growing firm.The position offered is on a full-time basis.
The position will require you to work in our spacious office facility located just off the Pacific Highway, with parking available on-site.We will provide the successful candidate with all the training and mentoring required for them to thrive in the role, but experience is highly regarded.
This role is perfect as a first position for law students or for someone who wants to get started in the legal industry or for someone who wants the opportunity to step up and take their career to the next level.The successful candidate will:Possess good legal drafting skills.Be a problem-solver who is capable of taking on new tasks and adapting to a task-oriented environment.Have an interest in a growing and expanding property practice with opportunity for growth and advancement.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be highly motivated with excellent attention to detail.Have the ability to work under supervision and collaborate on complicated matters across the firm.Be results driven and reliable.Be able to meet deadlines and deliver good work on time.If a legal practitioner – hold a practising certificate.Experience with PEXA is highly regarded but not required.Role responsibilities:Responsibilities will include:Assisting the property team with file management of a wide variety of property matters – the successful candidate will gain experience and be exposed to complex property matters and transactions;Assisting the property team with managing and organising a large conveyancing file load from A to Z, right up to and including arranging settlements.Liaising with clients, banks and other solicitors;Assisting the property team with the business transaction;Assisting the property team when acting for lessors and lessees in commercial leases including retail shop leases;Assisting the property team with managing clients and get the opportunity to expand your professional profile; andParticipating and sharing in the ongoing growth of the firm.About us:Stokes Lawyers is a commercial law firm located in Logan City, Queensland.
