This is a casual opportunity. Your role as a Paralegal will involve: Undertake legal and general research into issues relevant to operation of business areas. Prepare reports and memoranda clearly explaining the findings of the research Draft and review legal documents, including basic contracts, notices and correspondence Assist in managing the protection of the business' intellectual property, including business names, trademarks, brand names, copyright, patents and designs Assist with administration of the business' legal approval platform Organise and maintain internal document management systems Respond to information requests from third parties (e.g. subpoenas and probate matters) Assist with the preparation and delivery of internal legal training and presentations Proofread documents prepared by the legal team General administration, including attending meetings and keeping appropriate records and minutes Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work Experience: Previous experience as a paralegal from an in-house or private practice background will be highly regarded but not essential Either; Min. 2nd year or higher studying law degree, and/or Completed legal studies It's easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don't see yourself as the perfect fit.
