Paralegal (Fixed-Term)

As a Paralegal at CoinJar, you'll be working alongside the General Counsel to complete project-based tasks and assist on various legal matters. This includes reviewing and conducting due diligence on various cryptoassets, reviewing and approving marketing documents, doing legal research for day-to-day legal issues, and uplifting our legal and compliance intake systems.You'll learn a lot about running a lean legal operation for one of the longest-running cryptocurrency exchanges in Australia and providing support to our offices in the UK, US, and Ireland.You'll ideally be a penultimate or final year law student and have some legal work experience (whether paid or unpaid). You'll also have hands-on knowledge and experience with buying, selling, and using cryptocurrencies.This is a fixed-term role (6 months) but may be extended if it works for you and CoinJar.Position ResponsibilitiesAssisting the General Counsel to ensure that the company conducts its business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsProvide legal support to the various business units globallyMarketing reviewsLegal research and drafting supportRequirementsPenultimate or final year law studentSome legal work experience (whether paid or unpaid) is desirableKnowledge of and familiarity with cryptoassetsAble to commit to at least 3 days a week for the duration of the contractFlexible and hybrid working arrangements.
