Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Palliative Care Physician to join our team on a part time basis.
Latrobe Regional Health is the principal referral hospital for the Palliative Care Consultancy Gippsland Team. The Team is committed to delivering a sustainable Palliative Care service within the Gippsland Region, ensuring equity of access for patients and carers, and will work with all regional health providers to achieve this end.
The Medical Specialist in Palliative Care will work within Latrobe Regional Health in accordance with its clinical governance requirements and policies. He or she will also work closely with the Palliative Care Consultancy Gippsland nurses and Palliative Care coordinators across the region to assist in the ongoing development and delivery of effective inpatient and community-based palliative care services.
 The purpose of the Palliative Care Physician position is;
To provide excellent clinical care for his/her patients.To provide leadership for junior medical and other clinical staff.To support the hospital's teaching, research and clinical governance programs.To support other service providers to provide high-quality palliative care across the Gippsland region.
