This is a clinical leadership role where your advanced clinical expertise will support high-quality patient outcomes and enhance team cohesion.The Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work closely with Ballarat Hospice Care's established interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional palliative care.In this collaborative role, you will:Bring advanced skills in pain management, symptom control, and end-of-life planning.Identify opportunities to implement innovative practices and advancements in palliative care.Respect and build on the team's existing workflows and extensive experience.Strengthen team cohesion by fostering trust, collaboration, and understanding.Mentor team members, providing guidance on best practices and supporting their continuous professional growth.This role will include both informal teaching and structured learning opportunities to ensure the team remains at the forefront of evidence-based palliative care.Key Responsibilities:Provide clinical leadership to enhance team performance and care quality.Deliver best-practice palliative care tailored to individual needs.Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in patient care.Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.Mentor and educate staff, carers, and healthcare providers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.Promote cultural appropriateness and respect for diversity in care delivery.Selection CriteriaTo be successful in this role, you will need:Registered Nurse (Division 1) registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).Completion of a Board-approved nurse practitioner qualification at Master's level or education equivalent as determined by the Board of Management.The following are also required:Current Police Check (on induction).Current Victorian Driver's License.Fully vaccinated – regarding Covid-19 and Influenza.A full Position Description is available via the Ballarat Hospice Care website (refer below link).What is offeredThis role with Ballarat Hospice Care offers:A supportive and collaborative work environment that values your expertise and professional growth.Competitive salary and benefits.Opportunities for professional development and education in the field of palliative care.A chance to make a real impact on patient care and contribute to the development of best practices in palliative care.How To ApplyIf you are an experienced Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care, please submit your resume and cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria to ****** close at 5.00pm on Friday 14 February 2024.
