About the Company Our client in Gold Coast is a busy professional painting services company. They are seeking a skilled Painting Trades Worker to join their team.
This is a full-time role with an annual salary of $74,080 plus superannuation and will be based in Gold Coast.
The Duties Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding and work safely at heightsOperate elevated work platformsApply OHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industryErect and maintain trestle and plank systemHandle painting and decorating materialsUse painting and decorating tools and equipmentRemove and replace doors and door and window componentsPrepare surfaces for paintingApply paint by brush and rollerApply texture coat paint finishes by brush, roller, and sprayApply paint by sprayMatch specified paint colourApply stains and clear timber finishesRemove graffiti and apply protective coatingsApply protective paint coating systemsImplement safe lead paint and asbestos work practices in the painting industryApply intumescent coatingsApply advanced decorative paint finishesApply trowelled texture coat firstThe Requirements At least 1 year experience in a domestic painting role in the painting and decorating industryAt least 1 year experience in a wide range of painting techniques, including faux finishes, marbling, graining, and frescoAt least 1 year experience in chemical stripping, abrasive blasting, and power washing techniquesMust have construction induction cardSpecialised for New Housing paintingGood understanding of colour theory and various finish typesPhysical dexterity to climb ladders, carry heavy equipment, and stand for long periods of timeAdditional tickets, EWP, and relevant licenses will be looked upon favourably #J-18808-Ljbffr
