Position: Painting Trades Person Joyce Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Painting Trades Person to join their busy workshop in Mackay.
Responsibilities: Experienced in coating applications (Brush and Roller) Competent with airless and conventional spray painting Competent with abrasive blast equipment Clean metal surfaces for painting Sand and prepare parts for painting Paint components to a strict specification Wrap components for dispatch after painting Ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times Understand surface preparation and finishes Be able to understand and complete works to specifications Be able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces Erect scaffolding and ladders Clean equipment and work areas Desirable Qualifications: Good Communication Skills High-Risk License Working at Heights White Card Confined Space Drivers Licence If you feel you are the right person for the role, please apply now.
